As seen on the 'TV program 10 Years Younger in 10 Days', dentist Dr Fadi Yassmin welcomes you to Broadway Dental. Early in 2009, Dr Yassmin starred in hit Channel 7 TV Show '10 Years Younger in 10 Days'.
'10 Years Younger in 10 Days' was a makeover program transforming couples who were either style-challenged or had simply let themselves go due to the constant juggling of work and family demands. With the help of the 10 Years Younger in 10 Days expert teams, the couples were looking and feeling 10 years younger in just 10 days.
In every episode, one husband and wife couple were given the chance to reclaim the years that got away; boosting self-esteem, restoring confidence and changing lives along the way and for many it is a turning point in their lives.
Dr Yassmin and the staff at Broadway Dental were one of these expert teams, transforming the couples smiles, with dazzling new smile makeovers using a variety of dental procedures. EPISODE 9 - JOHN - Multi-coloured crooked smile disappears
John's main concern was his multi-coloured crooked teeth with dark staining all around his mouth. He also had bleeding gums and missing teeth that were causing him great discomfort.
Treatment provided
- - Photos and Radiographic records
- - Photos and radiographic records were taken to allow accurate assessment of the existing dentition (development and arrangement of teeth in his mouth) and to give John a visual view of the treatment needed.
- - Preventative care (Dental prophylaxis)
- - Deep scaling and polishing to remove the buildup of heavy plaque (also known as calculus and tartar) and staining on John's teeth, helping prevent cavities and gum disease
- - Oral hygiene routine - Cariscreen and caries free rinse program. Custom trays of tooth mousse were created for home use, which will help prevent tooth decay (that can lead to cavities, pain, tooth loss and infection) and minimise intrinsic staining (white specs on teeth).
- - White fillings - To rejuvenate his teeth, broken amalgam fillings were replaced with white fillings for a more natural, comfortable smile. Porcelain onlays were created for a more functional, longer lasting and aesthetic appearance.
- - Crown and bridge work - John was given 4 new crowns and a 3 unit bridge (inlay/onlay) inserted. The material used has a zirconia framework which greatly increases the strength whilst also providing optimum aesthetics. The dental bridge was used to replace missing teeth and was fixed into John's mouth via adjoining crowns. Crowns were used to cover and protect John's worn or broken down individual teeth. A custom shade is taken of the teeth to allow the crowns and bridges to be matched creating a natural looking smile.
- - Teeth whitening - BriteSmile whitening of John's teeth to perfectly match the custom crown and bridge work performed. Custom trays were also made to give John a take home whitening maintenance program to help sustain his whiter smile.
